Fully socketed CPU and 4 user-accessible DDR5 slots - nothing soldered. M2_4 shares bandwidth with PCI_E4 (installing a card halves it to PCIe 4.0 x2). PCI_E1 runs x16 on Ryzen 9000/7000 but only x8 on Ryzen 8700/8600/8400 and x4 on Ryzen 8500/8300. AM5 may clear BIOS settings when the CPU is changed. Ignore 128/192 GB and 6600 MT/s figures from old manual revisions.

Non-ECC un-buffered DDR5 only (no RDIMM/ECC support). DDR5-7800+ needs 1 single-rank stick per channel; 2DPC 2R drops to 5400+. Populate DIMMA2 first. Older manual revisions say 128/192 GB and 6600 MT/s - the current 256 GB / 7800+ spec is authoritative (BIOS/AGESA updates).

NVMe/PCIe only - SATA-protocol M.2 SSDs will NOT work. M2_1 (CPU, PCIe 5.0 x4) is the only slot taking 22110 and includes a heatsink; M2_2/M2_3 are 2260/2280 PCIe 4.0 x4. M2_4 (PCIe 4.0 x4) drops to x2 if a card is installed in PCI_E4.

No integrated graphics = no HDMI/DP/USB-C display output; GPU support bracket advised for heavy cards.
