Dell Precision 3260 Compact upgrades
Compact 2.3 L workstation with two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots, two M.2 SSD slots and one 2.5" SATA bay. mSATA and a memory-card reader are not supported. The separate M.2 2230 Wi-Fi slot is not for storage.

DDR5 SO-DIMM, 8/16/32 GB per slot, 64 GB max (2x32 GB). 8 GB modules are non-ECC only. ECC is optional and needs a supporting CPU/platform. A single module runs single-channel; use a matched pair for dual-channel. Dell's online page lists 5600 MT/s, while the A03 manual says 4800.

M.2 SSD slots (2230/2280) 2 × SSD M.2 2230 / M.2 2280 (NVMe) · up to 4 TB
Both slots are listed as 2230/2280, but the service manual only shows 2230 procedures for slot-0. Confirm slot-0 takes a 2280 before buying two long drives. Drives are PCIe Gen3 x4 or Gen4 x4, so check each drive. RAID 0/1 is supported with two M.2 SSDs.

One SATA 3.0 connector (up to 6 Gbps). Dell offers 7200 RPM HDDs up to 1 TB. No thickness limit is documented, so check the service manual before fitting anything thicker than 7 mm. The chassis is very small.
