CPU is soldered (BGA, 13th-Gen HX, HM770 chipset) — there is no CPU socket and no CPU upgrade path; the processor tier is fixed at purchase. No SD card reader is fitted.

Update BIOS to 1.6.0 or later before installing RAM. Use unbuffered non-ECC DDR5 SO-DIMMs; faster modules simply run at 4800 MT/s. Fit matched capacity/speed modules in both slots for dual-channel reliability. 32 GB is Dell's validated ceiling — 2×24/2×32 GB modules are untested and unsupported.

Both slots take PCIe NVMe Gen4 x4 M-key drives only; SATA M.2 is not supported and there is no 2.5" bay. Dell validates 1 TB per 2230 and 2 TB per 2280 (larger drives usually work but are unsupported). For a self-installed drive in slot 2, Dell recommends M.2 2280 with its thermal shield; 2230 there is factory-only. Enabling Intel VMD needs Intel RST/VMD drivers to boot.
