PCIe: x16 Gen4 GPU slot (bifurcates to x8 or x4 with some APUs), x4 Gen4 and x1 Gen3 slots. Realtek 2.5G LAN + Wi-Fi 6E; no rear USB-C. 288-pin desktop DDR5 DIMMs only; unbuffered non-ECC. 7200+ MT/s is 1DPC 1R with EXPO; expect ~5400+ with 4 dual-rank sticks. Populate DIMMA2 first and use matched kits; 24/48 GB (24Gbit) and 64 GB (32Gbit) modules may need a BIOS update. Add memory cooling for 4 sticks or overclocking.

Both M.2 slots are CPU-attached PCIe 4.0 x4 (Key M) and take 2260/2280, including double-sided and heatsink drives. M.2_2 is disabled with Ryzen 8500/8300 series CPUs. 4x SATA 6 Gb/s supports 2.5"/3.5" drives; no bay/thickness limit at board level (case decides). No documented max drive capacity. Ignore the ATX sibling's manual (22110/3x M.2/6x SATA).

Socketed AM5 (LGA1718), user-replaceable. MSI publishes no max TDP; two CPU power connectors suggest mainstream 105-170 W parts work, but verify your exact chip on MSI's CPU list. Newer CPUs may need a BIOS update (Flash BIOS button allows update without a CPU). Ryzen 8500/8300 APUs lose the M.2_2 slot and cut PCIe to x4/x4.
