MSI MAG B760 TOMAHAWK WIFI (7D96-001R, DDR5 variant). A separate 'MAG B760 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4' board exists and is electrically incompatible with DDR5 — confirm the '-00xR' suffix/box label before buying RAM. 12th–14th Gen CPUs need an iGPU for HDMI/DP. Recommend a GPU support bracket for heavy cards on the PCIe 5.0 x16 slot; extra DIMM cooling for 4-DIMM/OC installs.

MSI's current spec page claims 256 GB (4× 64 GB class); the older PDF manual says 192 GB (4× 32 GB) — a doc-vintage gap, so 64 GB modules may need a current BIOS. 7000+ MT/s (XMP 3.0) is achievable only 1 DIMM per channel (1DPC 1R); 4 DIMMs drop to ~5600+ MT/s. Non-ECC unbuffered DDR5 only (B760 rejects ECC/RDIMM).

3 M.2 Key-M slots (all PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe; M2_3 also takes SATA M.2) + 4 SATA 6 Gb/s ports. A SATA drive in M2_3 disables SATA_7. RAID 0/1/5/10 is SATA-only per the manual (no documented NVMe RAID). All M.2 slots have MSI Frozr heatsinks — remove them if your SSD has its own; 2242/2260 kits included for M2_2/M2_3. M2_1 (from CPU) is the only 22110-capable slot. No per-drive capacity limit documented.

Socketed LGA1700: Intel 12th/13th/14th Gen Core plus Pentium Gold and Celeron; older manual wording lists only 12th/13th Gen, and 14th Gen support may require a current BIOS (check MSI's CPU support list). No CPU core overclocking on B760 (memory XMP only). MSI publishes no TDP cap, but the 12+1+1 VRM with dual 8-pin CPU power targets 253 W-class i9 parts.
