Lenovo Legion 5 15ACH6H upgrades
Released 2021 · end of sale · supported until April 11, 2027
Lenovo Legion 5 15ACH6H (MT 82JU). CPU (Ryzen 5 5600H / Ryzen 7 5800H) and GPU are soldered BGA — not upgradable, so no CPU slot exists. Choose your configuration at purchase. Verify the exact MTM on PSREF (regional configs vary) and note the family is withdrawn (new-old-stock). Upgrades need the bottom cover removed; disconnect the internal battery first. Unverified: 64 GB RAM, >1 TB per M.2 slot, SD card reader presence.

2x DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM (no soldered RAM) 2 × DDR4 SO-DIMM · up to 32 GB total · 3200 MT/s
Two socketed DDR4-3200 SO-DIMMs, unbuffered non-ECC only. 32 GB (2x16 GB CL22) is the validated max; 2x32 GB is unproven. Buy a matched pair for dual-channel; DDR4-3600 XMP modules only run at 3200. ~7% of units ship with one slot empty — check before buying a kit.

2x M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 (2242/2280) 2 × SSD M.2 2242 / M.2 2280 (NVMe) · up to 1.024 TB
Two M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 slots; PSREF contradicts itself (2242+2280 mix vs. two 2280) — open the panel and check the standoff before buying. 1 TB per drive is the validated ceiling; larger drives work but are unvalidated. Gen4 SSDs run at Gen3 speeds. No SATA, no 2.5" bay, no optical drive.
