Revision matters: rev. 1.0/1.1/1.2 and rev. 1.3 have separate spec pages and BIOS files — check the 'REV: X.X' marking on the board before buying parts or BIOS files. Manual 1304 is shared with the B650M GAMING X AX; ignore GAMING X AX-only sections.

M.2 SATA SSDs are explicitly unsupported — NVMe/PCIe only. Supported sizes: 2280/22110 and 2580/25110 (22/25 mm wide); 2230/2242/2260 not listed. Both slots are CPU-attached PCIe 4.0 x4. 4 × SATA 6 Gb/s ports also present (bays/cables depend on your case); RAID 0/1/10, but NVMe and SATA can't mix in one array. With Ryzen 8000 Phoenix 2 APUs M2B drops to PCIe 4.0 x2.
