No soldered CPU or soldered RAM - everything is socketed. Board is micro-ATX (197.54 x 243.95 mm). Note the PCIe x16 slot runs at x8 'when using an APU or CPU' per the manual (spec sheets say APU only) - minor for mid-range GPUs. No onboard Wi-Fi or USB-C. Spec pages differ on audio codec (ALC887 vs ALC897), indicating a silent hardware revision - the same caution applies to the RAM maximum discrepancy.

Only 2 slots, so buy full capacity in one kit (matched pair for dual channel). Non-ECC unbuffered DDR4 only; ECC/RDIMM will not work. Max capacity is disputed: Biostar spec sheets say 64GB (2x32GB), manual and Kingston say 32GB (2x16GB) - treat 64GB as achievable with a current BIOS but verify. 3200 MT/s is OC (XMP/DOCP) and depends on CPU memory controller.

1x M.2 (M key) supports PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe (32 Gb/s) or SATA SSD; 4x SATA III with RAID 0/1/10. With an old Bristol Ridge A-series APU the M.2 slot is SATA-only. M.2 lengths (2242/2260/2280) are not officially listed on Biostar's spec pages - confirm against the manual/board silkscreen. Check whether M.2 use disables a SATA port before planning all 4 SATA drives.

Socketed AM4 (1 socket), max CPU TDP 105W per manual. Supports 1st/2nd/3rd Gen Ryzen, Ryzen with Vega Graphics, Athlon with Vega Graphics, and older Bristol Ridge A-series APUs. Ryzen 3000 typically needs a BIOS flash (possible problem with no older CPU on hand). Ryzen 5000 support is NOT promised in the quoted specs - verify Biostar's current BIOS/CPU list before buying. M.2 may be limited to SATA-mode SSDs on Bristol Ridge APUs; x16 slot can drop to x8.
