CPU is soldered (BGA) and not replaceable — no CPU slot. The FA607 line ships with fixed Ryzen 7940HX / 7845HX (Dragon Range), 7735H (Rembrandt-R), 7535HS / 7445HS and similar options, so RAM speed limits depend on which CPU your config has. RAM and SSD upgrades are user-serviceable under the bottom panel.

Both slots user-accessible, nothing soldered. Use unbuffered non-ECC SO-DIMMs in matched pairs for dual channel. Modules are DDR5-5600 spec, but effective max is 5200 MT/s on Dragon Range (7940HX/7845HX/7745HX) and 4800 MT/s on Rembrandt (7735H/7535HS etc.) — faster RAM just downclocks, so don't overpay. ASUS says 64GB (2x32GB) max; some listings say 32GB but ASUS's own spec wins. Note: the notes' 'Ryzen 7 7445HS' is listed as 6C/12T in the source; verify exact SKU if it matters to you.

Two PCIe NVMe Gen4 x4 slots (2280). ASUS warns only single-sided SSDs fit due to nearby components — check a 4TB drive before buying. On Ryzen 7 7445HS configs the second slot has restricted bandwidth; put the boot drive in slot 1. ASUS India lists 2TB per-slot expansion. No 2.5" bay, no SATA and no card reader.
