ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (2023) FA507 upgrades
The CPU is soldered (BGA, Ryzen 7000HS 'Zen 3+' series such as the 7735HS/7940HS depending on SKU) and cannot be replaced or upgraded — there is no CPU socket. RAM and the two M.2 SSD slots are the only user-upgradable components; the bottom panel must be removed and the battery disconnected first. No SD card reader or 2.5-inch drive bay on this model.

Two user-accessible SO-DIMM slots, no memory soldered to the board. ASUS documents 32GB maximum total at DDR5-4800 (the 16GB per-slot figure is implied by that total limit). Modules run at JEDEC 4800 MT/s; faster SO-DIMMs will downclock. Standard 1.1V DDR5 SO-DIMMs required.

Two M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe slots per the service guide; no 2.5-inch bay and no SATA drive support, so only M.2 NVMe SSDs fit. Gen 4 x4 drives work (one slot may run at Gen 3 speed depending on CPU lanes). No documented maximum drive capacity. A second SSD needs no caddy or cable.
