CPU ist verlötet (BGA) - kein CPU-Slot, kein Upgrade-Pfad (8th Gen Whiskey Lake-U oder 10th Gen Comet Lake-U, 15 W U-Reihe). Speicher ist teilweise verlötet: 8 GB oder 16 GB beim Kauf festgelegt plus ein SO-DIMM-Slot. Auch Wi-Fi ist verlötet. Prüfe vor dem RAM-Kauf den genauen Maschinentyp (20N2/20N3/20RX/20RY/20Q9/20QH), da die verlötete Kapazität je nach SKU variiert.

Ein aufrüstbares 260-poliges DDR4 SO-DIMM plus fest verlöteter Arbeitsspeicher (8 oder 16 GB je nach SKU - soldered_gb wird als 8 angezeigt, der übliche Basiswert; prüfe dein Modell, nur 16 GB verlötet ermöglichen 48 GB insgesamt). Nur Non-ECC unbuffered. PSREF nennt DDR4-2400; 10th-gen-Konfigurationen laufen mit 2666, bei 8th-gen takten die Module bis hinunter auf 2400. Dual-Channel/Interleaving profitiert von passenden Größen.

Lenovos getestete Maxima (1 TB 2280, 256 GB 2242) sind keine harten Grenzen. Opal2 SED unterstützt; ein separater M.2 2242 WWAN-Steckplatz ist nur für Mobilfunkmodems vorhanden.
