MSI PRO B760M-A WIFI (MS-7D99), Micro-ATX, Intel B760, DDR5 variant (2023). CPU is socketed LGA 1700; all memory is user-replaceable (nothing soldered). DDR5-only (this is the DDR5 SKU, MS-7D99; DDR4 variant exists and is incompatible). MSI claims 256 GB max (4x64 GB); Kingston validates only 192 GB (4x48 GB) - verify 64 GB UDIMM support on MSI QVL/BIOS. Update BIOS before installing 24/48 GB (24 Gbit) modules. Non-ECC unbuffered only. 6800+ MT/s is OC with 1 DIMM/channel single-rank; 2 DIMMs/channel drops to ~5600-6000. Use matched kits of 4.

M2_1 is CPU-fed PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe; M2_2 is chipset PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe or SATA. Installing a SATA M.2 drive in M2_2 disables SATA port 8 (only 3 SATA ports left). No PCIe 5.0 support. RAID 0/1/5/10 on SATA only, no NVMe RAID. No 2.5" bays on the board - bay count/thickness depends on the case. Double-sided M.2 modules fit, but check heatsink clearance. No documented maximum drive capacity.

cpu_families: alder_lake (12th Gen), raptor_lake (13th Gen), raptor_lake_refresh (14th Gen), plus Pentium Gold/Celeron of those generations. A BIOS update may be needed for 14th Gen support. B760 chipset allows memory XMP but no CPU multiplier overclocking - K-series chips run stock turbo. MSI publishes no max TDP; i9-14900K-class parts are listed but sustained load depends on VRM/airflow - check MSI's CPU support list per model.
