12UD/12UC get 1x M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe (single-sided drives recommended); a second M.2 exists only on higher SKUs (12UE/12UGS). One optional 2.5" SATA bay: keep the factory bracket and SATA cable (often omitted on SSD-only SKUs). Thickness limit undocumented — stick to 7 mm drives. No documented capacity cap.
