Microsoft Xbox Series X|S upgrades
RAM is soldered GDDR6 (16GB on Series X; Series S figure not confirmed in sources) and cannot be upgraded. Internal NVMe SSD is part of the motherboard module and not user-replaceable; the only supported upgrade is the proprietary rear expansion card (USB drives can hold optimized games but not run them, per unverified notes).
Storage Expansion Card slot (rear) Expansion card / SSD Xbox Series expansion card (Proprietary / NVMe)
Proprietary card (designed with Seagate), not M.2 or standard CFexpress; generic M.2 SSDs will not fit. Works in both Series X and S and matches internal SSD performance. No documented maximum capacity in sources; launch card was 1TB. Check current pricing.
