Both slots are socketed (no soldered RAM). Use 260-pin DDR4 SO-DIMM, 1.2 V, non-ECC/unbuffered only; desktop DIMMs will not fit. Board runs DDR4-2133: faster modules clock down (2400/2666/3200 parts work at 2133). Install matched pairs for dual channel. Very new high-density 1Rx16 modules are reported to be unreliable; JEDEC 2133 CL15 modules are safest.

One 2.5" SATA 6 Gb/s bay (bracket + single SATA cable) limited to 7 mm drives; 9.5 mm HDDs will not fit. One M.2 slot accepts SATA or PCIe (NVMe) drives in 2242 or 2280 length; NVMe runs at PCIe 3.0 x4 and boot is supported. Both drives can run simultaneously. Some SKUs ship without an M.2 drive - the mounting screw/retainer may be missing. No SD card reader; the M.2 2230 Wi-Fi slot is not usable for storage.

Socketed LGA1151, Intel Q170 platform: only 6th Gen Skylake (Celeron/Pentium/Core i3/i5/i7) is validated - Skylake CPUs only, top part is the Core i7-6700T. Stick to 35 W T-series models; 65 W non-T chips exceed the Tiny's cooling/power envelope. Kaby Lake (7th Gen) is NOT supported by Lenovo - some may boot after a BIOS update but it is unreliable and unsupported.
