SFF NVMe drive bays (Express Bay) 20 × SSD 2.5" (NVMe)
The data sheet says up to 20 SFF NVMe. The QuickSpecs capacity row implies up to 34 with extra cages and risers. Needs an NVMe-capable backplane and cabling. Express Bay NVMe may limit maximum drive capacity.

Data sheet lists 2 M.2 SATA SSDs on the primary riser, depending on configuration. M.2 lengths are not confirmed in the sources, so verify them in the user guide before buying. NVMe boot needs a separate HPE option.
