24 slots need two CPUs; a single CPU uses only 12. HPE Smart Memory RDIMM only (no LRDIMM or persistent memory). 4800 MT/s with 4th Gen EPYC, 6400 MT/s with 5th Gen EPYC. QuickSpecs also mention a 3 TB per-server limit, so verify before buying 256 GB DIMMs.
