16 slots per CPU, so a second CPU is needed for all 32. 256 GB modules are LRDIMM; RDIMM tops out at 64 GB (2 TB total). Do not mix RDIMM and LRDIMM. HPE SmartMemory is needed for the listed performance. Consumer or SO-DIMM modules won't work.

M.2 NVMe via NS204i-p/NS204i-r boot riser 2 × SSD M.2 22110 (NVMe)
Needs the NS204i-p boot device or NS204i-r riser, which has hardware RAID and no M.2 media included. The riser is 22110-capable. A high-performance fan kit (P26477-B21) is required. Riser changes after factory shipment are not currently available.
