HPE ProLiant DL145 Gen11 upgrades
Single-socket EPYC 8004 server with 6 DDR5 RDIMM slots and no soldered memory. Some configurations use 6 hot-plug E3.S NVMe bays instead of the 2 SFF bays, and an optional HPE NS204i-u boot device holds 2 M.2 NVMe drives (480 GB or 960 GB). Neither is listed as a slot because the E3.S form factor and the M.2 length are not covered by the sources. Check the SKU's backplane and boot options before buying.

HPE Smart Memory DDR5 RDIMMs only; LRDIMM and persistent memory are not supported. Populate 1, 2, 4 or 6 DIMMs, never 3 or 5, all with identical part number, capacity and rank. 6400 MT/s (1 DPC) is from the newer QuickSpecs and probably needs newer CPUs; older documents say 4800 MT/s.

Bay count depends on configuration (2 SFF or 6 E3.S). Listed options: SAS HDD 2.4 TB, SATA SSD 7.68 TB, NVMe U.3 SSD 15.36 TB. Thickness limit and PCIe generation not documented in the sources. Use HPE-qualified drives and blanks for cooling.
