HP EliteBook 840 G8 upgrades
Two accessible DDR4 SO-DIMM slots and one M.2 2280 NVMe slot are user-upgradable. No second M.2 slot, 2.5" bay or memory card slot was found in the sources; verify with the HP maintenance and service guide for your SKU.
Memory 2 × DDR4 SO-DIMM · up to 64 GB total · 3200 MT/s
Dual-channel DDR4 SO-DIMM. Max 64 GB (2 x 32 GB); per-module max is inferred from that. Matched pairs are safest for dual-channel. Mixing speeds drops the system to the slower speed. HP recommends HP-branded modules. ECC support is not confirmed.
