Dell Precision 3240 Compact upgrades
Memory and storage are all user-upgradable. An optional Dell Precision Ultra-Speed drive card can add a PCIe SSD but uses the single half-height PCIe expansion slot, which a graphics card would also use.

Unbuffered 260-pin DDR4. Speed is limited by the CPU: 2666 MT/s on i3/i5/W-1250, 2933 MT/s on i7/i9/W-1270/W-1290. ECC needs a Xeon CPU. Xeon does not support modules built with x16 components. Install two matched modules.

Dell says 2230/2280 and the data sheet says one 22x80 and one 22x30 slot, so which slot takes which size is unclear. 2280 drives are PCIe Gen 3 x4 NVMe. Dell lists up to 2 TB for Class 40 drives. An M.2 SSD becomes the primary drive.
