Dell PowerEdge 350 upgrades
This is the early-2000s PowerEdge 350, not the modern DDR4-era T350 or R350, so their specs do not apply. It has no M.2, SATA or card slots; storage is IDE only.
- 168-pin SDRAM DIMM socket (DIMM3-DIMM0): 4 × DIMM · up to 1 GB total · ECC
- ATA-100 IDE hard drive bay (1-inch high): 2 × HDD 3.5"
168-pin SDRAM DIMM socket (DIMM3-DIMM0) 4 × DIMM · up to 1 GB total · ECC
Plain 168-pin SDRAM, not DDR. Use modules rated for 100 MHz or faster. The service manual says ECC unbuffered; the user manual also mentions registered. Fill DIMM3 first, larger modules first. A 512 MB module is mentioned in the text but is not confirmed in practice. Maximum is 1 GB total, minimum 128 MB.
No compatible offers right now.
ATA-100 IDE hard drive bay (1-inch high) 2 × HDD 3.5"
Two 1-inch-high ATA-100 IDE drives (parallel IDE, not SATA). The manual lists 10-20 GB and higher; no maximum is documented. The 3.5-inch size is inferred from the 1-inch height, not stated in the sources. The BIOS may not handle very large drives, so test first.
