Use unbuffered non-ECC full-size DIMMs, DDR4-2133 (faster modules run at 2133). Dell's manual says 64 GB max (4x16 GB), but the brochure says up to 32 GB, and 64 GB is not confirmed in practice. The Micro model has only 2 slots, so check you are looking at SFF specs.

The Dell sources do not name the socket. LGA1151 is inferred from the Q170 chipset, so verify in the service manual. Dell lists only 6th-gen Core i3/i5/i7 (65 W max). 7th-gen support is not confirmed.
