ASUS PRIME B550-PLUS upgrades
This is a bare ATX motherboard with 4 DDR4 DIMM sockets (128 GB max), two M.2 slots (one PCIe 4.0, one PCIe 3.0) and 6 SATA ports. Nothing is soldered. The x16 slots support PCIe bifurcation for multi-NVMe adapter cards.

Unbuffered desktop DIMMs only, no SO-DIMM or registered RAM. Dual-channel. 32 GB per module is implied by the 128 GB total across 4 slots, not stated by ASUS. Only 3200 MT/s and below is non-overclocked, and anything above relies on XMP/O.C. and is not guaranteed. ECC works only on CPUs that support it. Two matched DIMMs are the most stable setup.
