Asus PRIME A320M-K upgrades

ASUS PRIME A320M-K micro-ATX board: nothing is soldered (2 free DDR4 DIMM slots, replaceable AM4 CPU). A320 does not support CPU overclocking; DDR4-2933/3200 need DOCP profiles and a QVL kit. PCIe 3.0 x16 slot runs at x8 (or x4 with Athlon Vega) with APUs, and 2 × PCIe 2.0 x1 are available. No memory-card or proprietary slots.

Only 2 DIMM slots — upgrades mean replacing both sticks, and mixed sizes run partly single-channel. The 2017 manual says 16 GB/DIMM (32 GB total); the current ASUS spec page allows 32 GB/DIMM (64 GB total) with Ryzen, 32 GB total with 7th Gen A-series/Athlon X4. Unbuffered only (no RDIMM); ECC works with Ryzen (varies by CPU), non-ECC with 7th Gen A-series/Athlon X4. DDR4-3200 is O.C./DOCP — use the QVL.

M.2 mode depends on the CPU: Ryzen gives PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe or SATA; 7th Gen A-series/Athlon X4 gives SATA mode only, so an NVMe drive won't work at full capability. The board also has 4 × SATA 6 Gb/s (RAID 0/1/10) for other drives. No documented per-drive capacity limit (the 512 GB entries in the devices report are only validated parts). Drive bays and 2.5" thickness limits depend on your case.

cpu_families: ryzen_1000, ryzen_2000, ryzen_3000, ryzen_1000_apu/ryzen_2000_apu (Ryzen with Radeon Vega Graphics), athlon_vega, a_series_7000, athlon_x4. Ryzen 3000 support needs a later BIOS/AGESA; early stock may need an older AM4 CPU to flash (no CPU-less FlashBack confirmed). ASUS publishes no max TDP — the board/VRM is a 65 W-class design, and 95–105 W parts aren't confirmed, so check the CPU support list.
