Die CPU ist verlötet (BGA, 11th-Gen Intel Tiger Lake-H: i7-11800H / i5-11400H / i5-11260H, HM570) ohne Sockel — nicht austauschbar; das gilt auch für die NVIDIA GPU. Realistische Aufrüstung: 2x SO-DIMM RAM und 2x M.2 NVMe SSDs (plus die M.2 WLAN-Karte). Dieses 16-b0 (2021) nutzt DDR4 — DDR5-Module passen nur in spätere OMEN 16-Generationen. Der Kartenleser liest nur microSD. 64 GB RAM (2x32 GB) ist eine Angabe von Drittanbietern, von HP nicht bestätigt.

HP/Kingston bestätigen 16 GB pro Slot (insgesamt 32 GB). CompuRAM listet 2x32 GB Kits mit 32 GB Dual-Rank-Modulen als funktionsfähig (insgesamt 64 GB) – das liegt aber außerhalb der HP-Spezifikation. Für Dual-Channel immer gleiche Paare einbauen. Die Taktrate wird von der CPU begrenzt: DDR4-3200 mit i7-11800H/i5-11400H, 2933 MT/s mit i5-11260H. Nur DDR4 1,2 V, ungepuffert und ohne ECC.

Nur M.2 2280 M-key NVMe; kein SATA/2.5"-Schacht. HP validiert bis zu 1 TB pro Slot; größere einseitige 2280-Laufwerke funktionieren in der Regel, sind aber unbestätigt. Kingston gibt einseitige Laufwerke vor (doppelseitige passen evtl. nicht) und beide Slots benötigen Wärmeleitpads (unterschiedliche Formen pro Slot). Werkskonfigurationen umfassen PCIe 4.0 x4 und 3.0 x4; nur der primäre Slot ist als Gen4 bestätigt. RAID 0 (Intel RST) ist ab Werk verfügbar.
